Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Broadcastr collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform. We are committed to transparency and your right to privacy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect: (a) Information you provide directly — name, email address, password, billing information, and content you create; (b) Information from connected social accounts — when you connect Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Google Business Profile, or other platforms, we receive access tokens, profile information, follower counts, and post analytics as permitted by each platform's API; (c) Usage data — pages visited, features used, posting activity, and session duration; (d) Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide, operate, and improve the Service; authenticate your identity and manage your account; process payments via Stripe; publish content to connected social platforms on your behalf; send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, digest emails) via Resend; generate AI-powered content recommendations using Groq; provide analytics and performance insights; comply with legal obligations; and prevent fraud and abuse.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

Broadcastr uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy: Stripe (payment processing) — stripe.com/privacy; Resend (transactional email) — resend.com/privacy; Groq (AI content generation) — groq.com/privacy; Twitter/X API (X Corp) — twitter.com/privacy; Meta APIs — Instagram and Facebook (Meta Platforms) — privacycenter.fb.com; LinkedIn API (LinkedIn Corporation) — linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy; TikTok API (ByteDance) — tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy; YouTube/Google APIs (Google LLC) — policies.google.com/privacy; Pinterest API — policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy; Bluesky (Bluesky PBLLC) — bsky.social/about/support/privacy-policy; Pexels (stock photos) — pexels.com/privacy-policy; Vercel / hosting infrastructure. We only share data with these providers to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

4. Social Platform Data

When you connect social accounts, we store access tokens to publish content on your behalf. We store follower counts and post analytics to provide growth predictions and performance insights. We do not store private messages or data beyond what is required to provide the Service. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your dashboard, which revokes our access. Revoking access in Broadcastr does not automatically revoke app permissions on the platform itself — you may also need to remove Broadcastr from your platform's connected apps settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We share data only with: (a) service providers listed in Section 3, who are contractually bound to protect your data; (b) law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by applicable law; (c) a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified in advance.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect functionality. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising networks.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Published post content and analytics are retained to provide historical reporting. After account deletion, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g., financial records retained for 7 years). Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including: HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit; bcrypt password hashing; JWT-based authentication with secure token storage; PostgreSQL database with access controls; regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights: Right to access — request a copy of your personal data; Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate data; Right to deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data; Right to portability — request an export of your data; Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data; Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@broadcastr.online. We will respond within 30 days. EU/EEA and UK residents have additional rights under GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA.

10. Children's Privacy

Broadcastr is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact privacy@broadcastr.online.

11. International Data Transfers

Broadcastr is operated in the United States. If you are located outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. AI and Automated Processing

We use AI tools (Groq, large language models) to generate content suggestions, growth predictions, and performance insights. This involves automated processing of your usage data and content. AI-generated outputs are suggestions only and do not constitute decisions with legal or significant effects. You are always in control of what gets published.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
